Job Description

Given the nature of Evelyn Partners' business the main risks it faces are operational in nature and any successful candidate will be required:

  • To assist in the continuous development and embedding of the Risk Management Framework across the Group.
  • To lead in the day-to-day operation of the Group's risk management processes.
  • To actively engage with the business with regard to risk related matters.
  • To be a first point of contact for the business with risk enquiries.
  • To develop a comprehensive understanding of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The Risk Team continue to develop and embed the Risk Management Framework across the Group and seek to identify issues through thematic analysis and also by having a comprehensive understanding of the business. It has a wide range of tasks which assist in a providing the Group with the ability to manage risk robustly. The development and business-as-usual activities across the risk management framework, include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and delivering risk management workshops with the business in order to implement the risk management framework.
  • The completion of the Key Risk Assessment and Appetite statements.
  • The development and production of top-down key risk assessments and scenario analysis.
  • Assist in the production of the Group's Internal Capital and Risk Assessment (ICARA)
  • Assist and develop the Group's Key Risk Dashboard and other monthly reporting.
  • Assist and guide the business in the completion of the Risk and Control Self Assessments.
  • To assist the business in the process of capturing, assessing, reporting and escalation of risk events.
  • To assist in the completion of Deep Dives into specific areas of focus and interest.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in financial services risk management, ideally gained within an investment or wealth management organisation.
  • Confidence to lead and present work to all levels up to an including the Board.
  • Ability to work well in pressurised environment with demonstratable ability to prioritise work.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team player.

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Educated to degree level, equivalent or ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.
  • Relevant professional qualification(s) advantageous, although not essential with requisite experiences
