Senior Reward & Benefits Manager
Hybrid - 2 days/week in Hatfield

We're looking for a Senior Reward & Benefits Manager to join and help shape our growing Reward team - a pivotal role where you'll play a key part in developing and delivering how Reward works in a fast-paced, hourly paid, and unionised environment. You'll balance pay, benefits, and recognition activities to deliver for both the business and our people - with the opportunity to leave a lasting impact. This role offers the ideal mix of strategic influence and technical hands-on delivery, with full autonomy to lead, innovate, implement, and drive total reward initiatives to success.
What you'll be doing
- Reward Strategy Execution: Support the Head of Reward and Benefits in designing, developing and delivering a reward strategy that is fair, competitive and aligned to business priorities
- Pay Modelling Ownership: build, refine and maintain pay models for continuous monitoring and forecasting of proposed changes to pay approaches, National Minimum Wage projections etc. and advising and communicating the findings and recommendations effectively to key stakeholders
- Benchmarking and Market Analysis: Review, refresh and develop a suitable job evaluation and market benchmarking strategy for Ocado Logistics to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Pay Review Planning and Delivery Management: Develop and execute the end to end annual pay review process for Hourly Paid and Salaried groups in collaboration with stakeholder groups
- Bonus Processes Management: develop and manage the annual bonus schemes across Ocado Logistics
- Recognition Schemes: review and manage recognition schemes that create a high performing and inclusive culture
- Transform the way we communicate Reward to a diverse, dispersed workforce - from drivers on the move to customer fulfilment teams to head office colleagues
- Be the SME and lead on key projects and initiatives within pay, bonus,job grading, employee communications and more
- Navigate union relationships with credibility, providing insight and support for collective negotiations
What we're looking for
This role is ideal for someone working at Manager or Senior Manager level in Compensation, Reward, or Benefits - or for a Senior Specialist, Reward Lead, or Consultant ready to step into a pivotal, high-impact position.
You will also need:
- Experience in total reward within a large, complex business - ideally with an operational and frontline workforce (logistics, retail or manufacturing, aviation, transport) or similar
- Experience working in a unionised environment
- Strong experience in pay, especially hourly paid, benefits, and bonus schemes and effective reward communications
- Skilled at stakeholder management, influencing managers, and delivering impactful projects
