Senior Revenue Controller

We are recruiting a Senior Revenue Controller (SRC) to join our Revenue and Billing team.
This is a key role offering the opportunity to combine hands-on working capital management with day-to-day leadership and people management. You will play an important part in supporting the firm's continued focus on delivering a first-class service and maintaining effective working capital management.
The firm operates a hybrid working model, with an expectation that colleagues attend the office for a minimum of 40% of their working time. During the first few months in the role, a greater office presence will be beneficial to support onboarding, and collaboration within the team.
What you'll be doing
- Manage working capital for assigned departments and key clients, supporting Partners and lawyers to minimise debt, WIP and exposure
- Lead regular review meetings with Partners and lawyers on complex matters
- Act as a senior point of expertise for revenue control and billing matters
- Oversee and coordinate the monthly billing and cash collection cycle
- Ensure compliance with revenue control policies, including discount and write-off policies
- Support the continuous improvement of billing processes and systems
- Provide line management and development support to Revenue Controllers and Billing Assistants, including performance management, coaching and onboarding
- Act as an escalation point for complex or sensitive billing and client issues

What we are looking for
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in revenue control, credit control and cash collection within a professional services environment
- Confidence working with Partners, lawyers and senior stakeholders
- Experience managing complex client portfolios
- Line management or mentoring experience, with a supportive and collaborative leadership style
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to improvement, change and team development
- Strong Excel skills
Experience within a legal or partnership environment and relevant professional qualifications are desirable but not essential.
