Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Visual Designer with a passion for crafting compelling narratives through interactive graphics to join our Change and Adoption team. The ideal candidate will excel at simplifying text-heavy content into visually engaging and easy-to-understand graphical representations. A deep understanding of user research, UI design principles, and proficiency in design tools such as Figma, PowerPoint, and other relevant mediums is essential. This role is perfect for a designer who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, user experience, and impactful design.

Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Storytelling:
• Create interactive and visually stunning graphics that effectively communicate complex ideas and narratives.
• Translate text-heavy content into clear, concise, and engaging visual representations, including infographics, diagrams, and illustrations.
• Develop cohesive and compelling visual stories that resonate with target audiences.

User-Centred Design:
• Leverage user research insights to inform design decisions and enhance storytelling effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to understand user and client needs and deliver impactful designs.
• Ensure designs align with usability best practices and accessibility standards.

UI Design:
• Contribute to the design and development of user interfaces that are intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with brand guidelines.
• Create prototypes and interactive mockups using Figma or similar tools to showcase design concepts.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.

Presentation Design:
• Design engaging and professional PowerPoint presentations that communicate key messages effectively.
• Enhance storytelling through visual elements such as illustrations, charts, vectors, and icons.

Collaboration & Feedback:
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on designs based on feedback.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas and innovative solutions.
• Stay updated on design trends, tools, and techniques to bring fresh perspectives to the team.

About you
• 2-5 years of proven experience in graphic design, storytelling, and UI design.
• Possess a strong understanding of user research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into design solutions.
• Creative and versatile, possessing strong conceptualisation skills.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Figma, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), and other design tools.
• Expertise in design principles such as:Grid systems, hierarchy, balance, layout, typography, typesetting, colour theory.
• Strong organisational skills and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with accessibility and usability standards in design.
