Job Description: Oversight and Reporting Manager
Aim and purpose of the role:
WCG is making significant changes by transferring its Operations to a Model B arrangement from March 2025 and this role will oversee compliance with CASS obligations, Model B CASS oversight, MI gathering and reporting.
Key responsibilities:
CASS:
The selected candidate will setup the CASS Oversight function following the Model B transition. This will cover all areas from maintaining the ongoing CASS obligations, maintaining relationships with Bodel B provider, maintaining the required CASS oversight function in connection with Model B arrangements and reporting to management Committee and Board on all CASS related activities that includes:
• Responsible for ongoing CASS Compliance
• Ensure CASS incidents and breaches appropriately recorded, reported, and escalated and root cause analysis is conducted to prevent future recurrence.
• Manage CASS project work (post Model B) required to reduce the Firm's CASS footprint
• Responsible for CASS related work including Books and Record keeping, reconciliation and reporting.
• Produce CASS MI for management meetings
• Ability to present MI at various meetings
• Support the annual audit of CASS and related activities
• Maintain policies and procedures as required
FP&A
Support the development of:
• Financial and capital forecasting, business plans, budgets, and processes to support the Group's growth and strategic objectives. This is achieved through the Collaboration with cross-functional teams and subsidiaries including risk, operations, investment management, compliance, HR to ensure management information is timely relevant and well presented
• business plans to drive operational efficiencies and recommending opportunities for business improvement. This is achieved through comprehensive financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and presentation of business cases and financial models to Board.
• ICARA risk analysis covering cash and capital forecasting, and stress and scenario planning including wind up and recovery plans.
Person Specification:
• ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified (3+ years PQE)
• Significant operational experience within Investment management/stockbroking sector.
• Knowledge of FCA Client Asset (CASS) rules and Risk Management within financial services.
• Experience in building and maintaining fully integrated, multi-entity, P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow models including group consolidations
• Understanding of ICARA and stress testing
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Is honest and trustworthy, high levels of integrity
• Enthusiastic and motivational, a team-player wanting the best for the company
• Proficient user of MS Office tool
