About the Role
In your role you will be responsible for:
1. Solvency II Reporting Change Lead (75%):
- Projects (50%)
- Local finance owner of projects in the SII (Solvency II) reporting and capital management:
- reporting changes driven by group IFRS implementation
- EIOPA regulatory changes for the legal entity
- PRA & FCA regulatory changes for UK Branch
- Group IFRS implementation project
- Other finance transformation projects and initiatives
- Local finance owner of projects in the SII (Solvency II) reporting and capital management:
- Ongoing operational improvement (25%)
- Manage the SII change log and project manage larger SII reporting local change initiatives to drive operational excellence
- Manage the SII issue log and drive the continuous improvement of SII reporting and capital management
2. Financial Reporting (25%)
- Annual review and certification of finance owned SII policies and SII process operating model
- Maintenance of SII data model in the relevant IT systems and processes
- Deal onboarding support with accounting& reporting treatment design & implementation
- External audit support with assigned tasks
- Ownership and lead of end-to-end iptiQ UK Branch regulatory reporting (e.g. SII, FCA, ONS Statistical Office for UK)
- Monitor and manage UK localization of assets
- UK GAAP plan process
- Operate the relevant finance controls and document the evidence
- Manage compliance with UK regulatory requirements, perform relevant regulatory analysis and packs for the CFO to support the UK Regulatory Advisory Committee
- Quarterly analysis of own funds for the legal entity and UK Branch for CFO review and sign-off
- Annual legal entity capital planning & ORSA support

iptiQ EMEA L&H sits within Swiss Re's Life Capital business unit; established to deliver white-label life insurance solutions sold through our partners, directly to consumers. We are a team responsible for iptiQ EMEA L&H regulatory reporting, in-charge with analysis, reports and accounting support according to Luxembourg statutory accounting policies and economic valuation principles. As a member of our team, you are performing the preparation of the Solvency II reporting packages in accordance with EIOPA and PRA requirements. You provide comprehensive commentaries with respect to reporting, monitoring and reconciliation activities according to management requirements. You will have the opportunity to improve the team's delivery processes and systems in cooperation with our stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is a professionally qualified accountant or has an equivalent education (BA, MA) with a minimum of 7 years experience in an insurance or reinsurance company
- Has very good understanding of Life & Health business as well as accounting framework (US GAAP / IFRS, LUXGAAP)
- Can demonstrate experience with finance transformation, process re-engineering and /or system implementations
- Has strong analytical skills with an ability to work with data and systems to apply good business judgement as well as independently deliver timely and impactful outputs
- Is a self-starter who is able conceptualize and execute projects without much input
- Is a teammate who is creative, open-minded to challenge the status-quo in a constructive way and strives for constant improvements
- Has excellent communication skills written and spoken (English) as well as ability to present to senior management
- Is proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI)
