Reports to

This role reports to the QA Director

What will you do?

• Oversee the QA process for software releases
• Provide clear and detailed reports on release readiness, including bug status, test coverage, and unresolved issues.
• Identify, document, and prioritize critical bugs and blockers related to the release.
• Conduct all release checks and determine the quality of the release and its readiness for production.
• Design and execute manual test cases to validate functionality, usability, and performance.
• Conduct functional, regression, and compatibility testing.
• Configure and set up versions for playtests to ensure proper functionality and alignment with testing requirements.
• Test documentation design and maintenance (cases, check-lists).

What are we looking for?

• Experience in QA directly supporting a software development team.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and best practices.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive problem-solving attitude and good communication skills.
• Experience in test documentation preparation (test plans, suites, scenarios, and checklists).
• Optimisation and introduction of processes in release QA
• Understanding of technologies such as Git, P4, Kibana.
• Basic understanding of technologies such as Teamcity, Docker.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience in game development projects (an MMOFPS project would be an advantage).
• Knowledge of the Unreal Engine or Unity.

Work mode

Hybrid - 3x per week from our Guildford Studio
