Salary: £95,500 - £115,500 + up to 20% bonus per annum

Job summary:
NHBC is seeking a skilled and ambitious Senior Regional Director to support the Executive Directors in leading key initiatives with both new and existing Builder Customers. In this strategic leadership role, you will play a pivotal part in the future growth of NHBC.
What you'll be doing
In this senior leadership role, you will report to and support the Chief Operations Officer (Executive), taking the lead in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and driving commercial growth across both new and existing Builder Customers. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, identifying, and maximising commercial opportunities that contribute to the success of the NHBC Group Business Plan (GBP).
Your work will play a crucial role in delivering NHBC's core mission, enhancing the quality of new home construction and ensuring the protection of homeowners.
- To lead and manage a team of UK Regional Directors (RDs) and PA's who interface with NHBC's builder customers on a day-to-day basis.
- Work with other NHBC departments and stakeholders to set strategy for RDs in relation to debt recovery assistance from customers.
- Contribute to the setting of NHBC policy at senior level and becoming involved in high profile claims where necessary.
- Utilise market, competitor, and customer research to identify threats, opportunities, and competitor propositions to help shape NHBC's product and service offering to meet market requirements.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships to C-Suite level, plus other stakeholders to achieve a partnership approach with shared values, on an equitable commercial standing, with the intention of being a trusted advisor and agent of change for next generation house building.
- Attendance at and influencing of a range of NHBC working groups and committees as required.
- The role will occasionally require engagement with MP's and present opportunities to promote NHBC's work in the new home building sector at governmental level.
- To prepare and manage associated budgets related to the team.
- Undertake networking at industry events with the goal of developing relationships and new business to NHBC.
- Work with the Business Development and Underwriting Teams to set and drive business strategy to identify and pursue market growth areas where NHBC's products and services can be levered into profit producing opportunities, both in the traditional new homes and alternative residential sectors (Housing Association, Build to Rent, Later Living, Local Authorities)
What we're looking for
- The successful candidate will require the ability to operate with agility, flexibility, and adaptability in relation to customer requirements, and have the ability to present to groups of professionals from around the industry, with occasional involvement in industry panel discussions.
- Experience of director level relationship management, presenting to senior management teams up to and including CEO level.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the UK new home building market, as to construction and house building standards.
- An excellent communicator with proven negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to understand technical-based reports, problems and papers.
- Ability in organising and hosting round-table lunches and dinners with company directors.
- Proven ability to convert on new business opportunities and account management.
- Ability to achieve and deliver on Group Business Plan objectives and strategies.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the house building process with the ability to identify good and bad practice.
- Chartered Member or working towards Chartered Membership of a recognised construction related body (RICS, CIOB, CABE)
- Qualified to degree level in a relevant construction related subject. Qualified by experience will also be considered.
- Full UK driving licence.
