Due to funding to work alongside the Ministry of Justice and the Probation Service, supporting adult males within the criminal justice system, we require a Dependency & Recovery Senior Coordinator to support the wider team in shaping and delivering our service.
As a Senior Dependency & Recovery Coordinator you will support and encourage our higher complexity Service Users to thrive and achieve their goals.
The role will be based within Probation Services and will require DBS and additional MOJ enhanced vetting. The role will be based at Coventry Probation Office.
Where: Coventry
Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary Range: £31,529.41- £33,708.57 (pro rata for part time hours)
Responsibilities
About the role:
- Support referred Adult Males who are a Person on Probation (PoP) in the NPS region by delivering a range of tailored sessions and activities addressing the referral requirements and timeframes, based on an agreed Action Plan with PoP.
- Build therapeutic relationships and deliver a tailor-made package of support from the CGL Directory of Services including: Recognised psychosocial interventions and 1 to 1 key work, pod and group work
- Creating a PoP Action Plan to meet the differing intensity requirements of Low, Medium, or High identified by the referring Probation Practitioner
- Carry out risk assessments and risk management
- Triage assessment and onward referral to a range of treatment/community support agencies
About you:
- 2 years relevant experience of working within criminal justice, substance misuse (including alcohol) or social care services with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
- A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group, e.g. mental health services, criminal justice agencies, community groups etc.
- Extensive knowledge of the issues facing offenders including (but not limited to) substance misuse, health and Personal Wellbeing.
- Extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the contributing factors to success and making long term sustained offending behaviour and social functioning.
- The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information.
