Job overview
A new MR Band 6 post has been created so we are looking for a HCPC registered Radiographer to join the MRI team at Charing Cross Hospital.
Charing Cross Hospital is part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The Trust employs 13,000 people, providing care for around a million people every year, in our five hospitals and a growing number of community services in North West London and offers 50 clinical specialities with one of the largest portfolios in the country.
Charing Cross Hospital provides a range of acute and specialist services, a 24/7 accident and emergency department and hosts the hyper acute stroke unit for the region. It is also a growing hub for integrated care in partnership with local GPs and community providers.
This post will give you the opportunity to build on and develop your clinical skills in MRI. You should enjoy working collaboratively to provide the best possible care for our patients at all times. You will need excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach to work, as participation in extended working hours including evenings and weekends is essential.
Charing Cross Hospital offers a range of MRI examinations with both clinical and research work being undertaken.

- To assist in the provision of an efficient MRI service.
- To work as part of a professional radiography team providing a high quality diagnostic service.

Person specification
EDUCATION
Essential criteria
- BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent.
- HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
- Post graduate study
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Essential criteria
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Computer and keyboard skills.
- Keep all records up to date in a clear, accurate and concise manner on a day-to-day basis
Desirable criteria
- Basic teaching, counselling and supervisory skills.
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Minimum 2 years' experience in CT
- Experience of working unsupervised.
- Knowledge of developments within the profession
Desirable criteria
- Previous MRI experience
- 3 years post graduation experience
- Previous experience at Band 6 level
