About the role

Join Balfour Beatty as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and play a pivotal role in delivering critical infrastructure that supports Scotland's energy transition and the UK's Net Zero ambitions. Based primarily at our Maxim Park office, with opportunities to rotate between site and home, this role offers the flexibility and variety that modern professionals value.

You'll be a key member of our Commercial team, providing expert cost and contract management across the full project lifecycle-from tendering and negotiation to delivery and final account. What you'll be doing

We're seeking a commercially astute professional with:

  • A degree (BSc/MSc) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
  • Membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB (or working towards)
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 & NEC4 contracts
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A collaborative mindset and customer-focused approach
  • A drive for results and continuous improvement

Who we're looking for

  • You will have the following qualities/experience:
  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
  • Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards).
  • Experience with key contracts such as NEC.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Great Teamwork / Role Mode.
  • Leadership skills.
