Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Maxim Park Head Office (near Glasgow) with potential rotation between site and office

Project Type: Substations - supporting delivery of three new substations in Argyll

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, smart working approach (blend of home, office, and site)

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) based primarily at our Maxim Park head office near Glasgow, you will play a key role in the commercial management of three major new substations projects in Argyll. This exciting role offers a mix of office, home, and site-based work, reflecting our flexible and smart working culture.

You will be a vital part of the Commercial team, providing cost and contract expertise throughout the project lifecycle-from tendering, through negotiation, to contract delivery and final account settlement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated commercial professional to apply and develop their skills on infrastructure projects that support Scotland's energy transition and contribute to the UK's Net Zero goals.

Who we're looking for

  • You will have the following qualities/experience:
  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent.
  • Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards).
  • Experience with key contracts such as NEC.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Great Teamwork / Role Mode.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Achievement Focus (Achieving Results).
  • Business and Customer Awareness.
  • Applies organisational aims & objectives.
  • Identifies with the customer needs.
  • Recognises opportunities & threats.
  • Experience working on NEC 3 & 4 Contracts.
