Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Role: As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key commercial role across live site operations and pre-construction, working closely with Project Managers and the Commercial Lead.
You'll manage the full commercial lifecycle on multiple packages, from procurement through to final accounts, ensuring commercial integrity, accurate cost reporting, and alignment with project targets.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial activities across major civils and structural packages
• Administer subcontracts and main contracts (NEC / bespoke forms)
• Oversee procurement, tendering, and cost reporting
• Manage interim valuations, change control, and final accounts
• Interface with internal delivery teams and external stakeholders
• Identify and manage commercial risk
• Provide mentoring and support to junior QS staff
• Support bid and pre-construction teams as required

Ideal Candidate: You'll bring a solid background in groundworks, concrete frames, or enabling works, ideally within a subcontractor or self-delivery contractor environment.
Requirements:

• 6+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally with a subcontractor or civils contractor
• Strong working knowledge of NEC or similar contract forms
• Proven experience managing civils or structural packages on large projects
• Comfortable working across live sites and pre-construction activities
• Commercially astute with strong reporting, negotiation, and contract administration skills
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
