Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Hybrid, Worcester based with travel
Salary: to £60k Plus Company car/Allowance and benefits
An exciting new opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team running our biggest clean water and waste water projects. This role will be instrumental in driving numerous projects, making it an essential addition to our team. You'll be based from our hub in Worcester but have a remit that covers the UK, working on projects for our biggest customers (South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, Affinity Water, the Environment Agency and more). These projects range from £250k to £5m plus so you'll be used to working alongside our teams of engineers and working with varied clients and project managers.

What's the role:
- Supporting Contracts Managers and operational teams by offering sound commercial advice on projects.
- Commercial analysis, reconciliation and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Maintaining accurate records of all values; costs, programme changes, productivity and profitability, as well as implement appropriate controls to monitor and ensure all stakeholders operate in accordance with the company procedures.
- Carrying out site measures, preparing supporting information for submitting interim valuations and agreement of final accounts.
- Preparing and issuing subcontractor orders, overseeing all commercial performance throughout the contract duration.
- Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
- Supporting the QS department on a day-to-day basis, efficiently resolving their queries while also overseeing a team of 3 to 4 people.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or related field.
- Have 2 years of UK work experience within the Water Industry would be a distinct advantage.
- A comprehensive working knowledge of NEC3 & 4 contracts, including Options A & C
- A working knowledge of IChemE, JCT and MF1 forms of contract
- Appropriate qualifications, and professional membership of the RICS, CIOB or ICE would be advantageous
- Have the ability to persuade, influence and negotiate.
- A full driving licence and there will be an element of working away.
