Senior Quantity Surveyor

Danny Sullivan Group are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor role with a Tier 1 contractor working on Sizewell C mega project.

This contractor are looking for an experienced candidate with strong civils/highways experience for this role. They will offer WFH on Monday and Friday and will cover accommodation on site for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Package will include car/car allowance and other benefits as well.

Requirements:

• Creating a safe working environment is a priority.
• Producing subcontract documentation, negotiating terms and conditions, prices, and programs.
• Managing subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
• Issuing commercial notices to both the Client and Subcontractors as required by the contract.
• Managing change in accordance with the contract, including Compensation Event Quotations.
• Submitting and agreeing monthly applications to the Client.
• Liaising with operational and engineering staff to maintain site records.
• Producing detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR).
• Maintaining a detailed Cost Plan and forecasting expenditure.
• Attending progress and risk reduction meetings with clients and subcontractors.
• Maximizing value and profit by applying the principles of 'Doing the right thing.'
• Assisting estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise.
• Playing a key role in the commercial team on-site.

Experience/qualifications:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or relevant field
• Experience with NEC3/4 Option C contracts and main contracts
• Good understanding of standard forms of contract
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems (CEMAR, Oracle).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• First-class time and outcome management skills.
• Experience in Civil Engineering Environment (Highways/Rail/Water/Aviation) working with large stakeholders
• Exposure to large single or multiple smaller schemes.

Excellent long term opportunity available on this project which is due to run for 6+ years. Salary on offer is DOE but the client would be willing to pay up to £95k for the right candidate. Contact Jimmy Holly at Danny Sullivan Group for more details.
