Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit aSenior Quantity Surveyor to work on our Thames Water Framework working in the Thames Valley and London Area.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of the Commercial Team and will be responsible for managing and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Graduates in carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects of the Capital Delivery Frameworks in the Region. The role will involve working closely with the delivery team delivering clean and waste infrastructure projects.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for administering the NEC form of contracts, raising early warning notices to the client and subcontractors. You will have a keen eye for detail identifying, notifying and pricing of compensation events.

You will be required to produce or support the production of CVRs and P&L reports. You will also manage subcontractors from tender inquiries to final accounts, review subcontract quotations and be involved in placing subcontract orders.

Are you familiar with assessing and paying subcontract applications, preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages?

You will be checking time-sheets and staff allocations for different work packages, agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

Are you a proactive mentor? As part of this role you will be managing and mentoring of junior members of the commercial team, supporting their growth and knowledge.

Do you have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification?

Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar level within with a civil engineering or utilities contractor would mean you could excel in this role.

Do you have working knowledge of the NEC3 suite of contract?

Are you experienced using CEMAR?
