Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Contract Manager

Mission: We have a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with responsibility for Projects and Services in our South region. The role will particularly suit someone with experience in both a pre and post contract environment (or someone looking to develop one of these areas) who is comfortable owning projects end to end.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing commercial governance across your project portfolio, driving revenues and profitability, minimising risk & debt to ensure we deliver to the highest possible standard.
• Assist the bid team with identifying commercial risk and how best to manage these at tender stage.
• Negotiation of customer terms and conditions to ensure commercial risk is understood, mitigated and managed.
• Acting as a trusted commercial advisor you will work with Legal, Procurement, Sales and Tendering to provide comprehensive commercial guidance to the team.
• You will also hold responsibility post contract - providing commercial governance across your project portfolio, driving revenues and profitability, minimising risk & debt to ensure we deliver to the highest possible standard.

Skills and attributes:

• Experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on Contractual agreements
• Passionate about all things commercial with numerical skills and a drive to apply these in a business environment
• Able to inspire and manage change in an ever-evolving environment
• Proactively drive career and personal development including professional certification
• Fluency in English is a must (written and verbal)

Education

• Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline (Law, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain Management)
• Membership to WCC or additional professional membership would be advantageous
