About the Job you are considering:

The Program Test Manager PTM is responsible for providing strategic test leadership across multiple projects within a program or portfolio The role ensures consistent quality delivery process standardization efficient resource utilization and adoption of best practices and advanced testing techniques The PTM works closely with program stakeholders test managers automation leads and cross functional teams to manage risk drive continuous improvement and achieve program objectives.

Hybrid working:The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Job Role

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with program and business stakeholders.
  • Liaise with program stakeholders to align testing objectives with overall program goals.
  • Manage project-level escalations with timely communication, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Ensure effective cross-functional coordination across delivery, development, automation, and environment teams.
  • Review and approve Master Test Plans and Phase Test Plans across multiple projects.
  • Provide governance oversight on Test Strategy documents and ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Review Test Closure documents for completeness, quality benchmarks, and sign-off readiness.
  • Define, track, and monitor quality metrics across the portfolio and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Validate automation test coverage across the portfolio, including regression and API testing.
  • Collaborate with automation leads to refine regression and API automation strategies.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced testing techniques and accelerate automation maturity.
  • Oversee resource allocation and utilisation across various projects within the program.
  • Manage coexistence of multiple projects to minimise conflicts and ensure optimal delivery outcomes.
  • Identify training needs across testing teams and support leadership in enabling skill development.
  • Identify, assess, and manage program-level risks and issues with proactive resolution.
  • Lead change-management activities within the testing organisation and across projects.
  • Oversee configuration management, including tools, environments, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Lead process reviews and refinements focused on continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, delivery models, and governance practices.
  • Drive process standardisation across projects and programs.
  • Adopt and apply best practices from Capgemini's Testing Practice consistently across teams.
  • Engage early during project initiation to support Test Managers in smooth onboarding.
  • Mentor and coach Test Managers to enhance leadership, ownership, and delivery excellence.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Job Skills

    Strong stakeholder and programme management skills.
  • Expertise in test governance, test strategy, and defining quality metrics.
  • Deep understanding of automation frameworks, regression testing, and API testing.
  • Proven experience in managing risks and handling escalations effectively.
  • Strong process-oriented mindset with capability to drive change-management initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to manage and operate within complex multi-project environments.
