About The Role

As a Senior Quality Technologist, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the quality of our fruit products. You'll be part of a dynamic team, working closely with suppliers, production teams, and colleagues across the business to uphold our exacting standards.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading quality assurance activities for our fruit products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
• Monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process, identifying improvements and implementing solutions
• Collaborating with suppliers to maintain and enhance product specifications
• Conducting audits, analysing quality data, and driving continuous improvements across technical aspects

About You

• Proven experience in a quality assurance role within food manufacturing
• Knowledge of fresh produce, specifically fruit, and it's unique challenges in quality control
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and legislation

We're also looking for someone who can:

• Build and maintain a network of contacts both internal and external with the ability to influence
• Leadership skills, promoting a strong sense of teamwork and training hourly colleagues
• Experience working in a complex and fast paced environment
• Share ideas and findings in a clear direct way both internally and externally
• Ability to use data to drive intelligent decision making and influence future seasons

At Thrapston, we produce fruit and nuts for 494 stores and for morrisons.com, which means preparing everything from apples, nuts, seeds, tomatoes, pears, citrus, blueberries, grapes and kiwis - all to help #MakeGoodThingsHappen.

Our team of colleagues work over a 24/7 operation to get cases of fresh food ready for our stores and Morrisons.com every week.
