Job title: Senior Quality Controller Engineer – FCAS

Salary: £47,683+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with multiple functions to establish quality measures across Future Combat Air System (FCAS)
  • Supporting the wider team in delivering quality activities across the FCAS portfolio.
  • Supporting FCAS in delivering assurance activities through audit, process confirmation and other activities
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure quality requirements are considered and captured
  • Consideration and development of new processes to be defined for Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP)
  • Identifying and work with the business to implement improvements to processes
  • Supporting 3rd party audit and preparation activities
  • Undertaking document and process reviews for the future of FCAS

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Quality or Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to work within a constantly changing environment

Desirable:

  • Experience or awareness of applicable international standards, such as EN9100 & DEFCON’s etc
  • Product Development Early Life Cycle knowledge/experience

The FCAS Quality team:

As a Quality Controller you will be delivering a broad range of planned quality activities designed to provide assurance to management that quality practices are being effectively deployed across the business area.

This will involve working closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to ensure that the products we manufacture meet customer and regulatory requirements. Ensuring Quality Standards are maintained to the satisfaction of internal and external Customers. Undertake review and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of quality practices across the business area. Provide guidance, advice and support on all quality related matters.
