Salary: Base salary: £34,650pa to c.£40,750pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As a Senior Quality and Assurance Analyst at HS2 you will support the development and management of a risk based assurance programme and report on progress against the plan, including formal 6 monthly reports. Assist with provision of data and insights for quality and assurance reporting, including the Risk, Control, Assure report and Monthly Business Review. Management of all assurance related management information, such as action tracking, management of overdue actions for closure. Assist in the maintenance of a business and project wide operational assurance map and dashboard. Provide insightful analysis of assurance management information, clearly identifying and presenting issues, risks, and trends.

About the role:

  • Support the planning, scheduling and approval of the annual Integrated Assurance and Approvals Plan (IAAP).
  • Provide data and management information for assurance reports, such as the Risk Control Assure report, and the Quality and Assurance contribution to the Tech Services MBR, as well as other reports as required, ensuring they contain sufficient detail, accuracy and insights to actively enable appropriate management decision making.
  • Manage, create, maintain, and continuously improve assurance performance dashboards and management information, including those relating to open and overdue actions, and work with action owners to ensure timely completion of actions.
  • Provide relevant MI to P-Rep to support the management of actions and reporting of progress to P-Rep
  • Working with other members of the Assurance team to provide analytical and data support ensuring they have the information required to undertake their activities.
  • Provide timely and accurate consolidation of business and project assurance data and analysis as required, identify areas of emerging risks and help inform operational assurance planning and delivery.
  • Ensure reporting formats are up to date and that the Integrated Management System accurately reflects assurance reporting processes.
  • Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.

About You:

Skills:

  • Skilled in distilling information from multiple sources
  • Data management skills to assess business information to identify and present key issues and trends.
  • IT literate with skills in reporting software, data systems including PowerBI, large Excel spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
  • Management skills, working on multiple activities simultaneously and prioritise the most critical activities to agreed deadlines.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Information Management, Data Quality and Data Analytics tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of business information reporting cycle.
  • Knowledge of matrix organisations and programme delivery
  • Knowledge of relevant interfaces for similar infrastructure projects

Type of experience:

  • Experience of managing data from multiple sources to create reports and provide insights
  • Experience of planning across multiple business areas
  • Experience of reporting teams on complex programmes
