Job purpose

As our Senior QA Engineer, you will take the lead on defining our quality strategy and implementing frameworks and tools to ensure we create, build and deliver the most trusted products in the Serviced Accommodation industry. This multifaceted position requires a balance of hands-on testing expertise and forward-thinking vision to shape our product's evolution, technological advancements, and delivery of business value. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing quality assurance leadership and automation strategies while adhering to agile principles with Scrum as our chosen methodology.
Key responsibilities and duties

Take ownership of our quality strategy ensuring that it remains relevant to our business objectives and technology landscape.

Ensuring that testing activities are appropriately aligned with the designated testing levels

Spearhead the design and development of robust automated test scripts, utilizing your expertise to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for test automation.

Create and maintain the quality strategy, building on what has already been established.

Play a key role in shaping test approaches, ensuring alignment with project goals and product vision.

Drive the integration of automated testing seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines.

Execute automated test suites with precision, leveraging your analytical skills to interpret results and drive continuous improvement.

Actively contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing automated test scripts.

Take ownership of defect tracking and reporting, ensuring a streamlined process for issue resolution.

Generate insightful test reports, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with the product, data and engineering teams, contributing to a culture of quality excellence.

Communicate effectively to articulate complex technical concepts and testing strategies.
Essential responsibilities and skills

Experience of automated testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber.Thorough knowledge of test automation frameworks.

Knowledge of or willingness to learn React/C#/.Net 8/Visual Studio Professional/JetBrains Rider/Next JS/Chakra UI/Postgres/Open API/Docker/Bicep/Terraform.

Knowledge of data platforms, notably Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI.

Demonstrable expertise in AWS & Azure services for application development, deployment, and management.

Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Experience in mentorship and team development.

Adherence to coding standards, best practices, and documentation in software development.

Highly motivated with a positive can-do attitude.
