We are looking for a dynamic and resourceful Senior Publicity Manager with a passion for food and a flair for publicity to create impactful campaigns that drive sales.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal role for the Food and Lifestyle Hub's campaigns team. Reporting into the Campaigns Director (Food & Lifestyle) this role will be responsible for planning and implementing targeted and innovative publicity campaigns for our frontlist and brand authors.

You will independently and confidently create, manage and deliver creative and audience-facing campaigns. The successful candidate will be a key voice in our communications team and will bring their knowledge of the publicity landscape and prior experience to produce outstanding campaigns.

You will contribute to every stage of the publishing process, from trend spotting and idea generation, pitches, acquisitions and campaigns, strategy meetings, author events and much more.

You'll constantly work to build the hub's network of influencers, media and event contacts to make our campaigns as impactful as possible.

This role will have one line report.

What you'll bring

Perhaps you're an experienced Campaigns Manager looking for their next step, or a senior publicist looking to work across bigger campaigns and take on more responsibility for delivering strategy. This is an exciting time to be part of Ebury, who won Publisher of the Year at the British Book Awards in 2024.

You don't need to have worked in publishing before but a passion for Food is certainly important! What you will bring is some experience in working with talent, food or lifestyle which means you have your eye on the audience and understand how a publicity campaign will work in this area.

Qualities we're looking for:

  • *Ability to run campaigns in a busy communications environment
  • *Being able to quickly adapt, respond to trends and pivot to the newest "moment"
  • *Ability to understand markets and analyse campaigns to constantly improve and drive a culture of learning
  • *Fascinated by the media, specifically the food and lifestyle industry and always alert to new opportunities to promote books
  • *A motivated self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple projects all with different lead times
  • Line management experience, or having had experience mentoring, tutoring and setting example
  • Commitment to building strong, collaborative working relationship with authors and agents and providing the highest level of author care
  • A confident and trusted partner for other internal teams including Marketing, Editorial, Sales and International, to champion each book

Salary: Between £40,000 - £45,000 depending on how your skills and experience align with the role, plus bonus and benefits.

Hybrid working: We're experimenting with a hybrid way of working that suits the needs of each team. While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role, we expect you'll be in our London office 2 days a week (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) but due to the nature of PR, there will be moments when you'll need to attend the office more often, and there will be an element of evening and weekend work to fit around authors' schedules. We will discuss this with you through the recruitment process.
