Person specification

Qualification

Essential criteria

  • Have completed a British Psychological Society accredited IAPT/Psychological Wellbeing Training (PWP)
  • Have completed supervision training on an IAPT Accredited PWP Supervision course.

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of continuous practice development related to delivering psychosocial interventions to both individuals and groups.

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of working in statutory and / or non-statutory Mental Health

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of providing CPD training to other professionals within multi-disciplinary teams around the PWP role or low intensity CBT Skills.

Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Extensive knowledge of Mental Health and Social Care.
  • Be able to provide effective liaison with colleagues in the wider system, as well as other statutory / non statutory services relevant to the client and their ongoing needs. Contribute when required, to team research and development activities.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of specialist needs of service users within the prison environment and criminal justice systems.
  • Knowledge of policy and legislation in relation to service specialism and of relevant mental health legislation.

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of Common Mental Health problems and medication used in relation to these
  • Knowledge of the National Service Framework for Mental Health

Desirable criteria

  • Ability to deliver training packages/programmes.
  • Ability to deliver training packages/programmes.
