Our environmental consulting service lines include: Decommissioning and Restoration, Environment and Society, Water Solutions and Geosciences. In addition to these services, Advisian provides engineering and technical consultancy expertise to the energy and resources sectors.

We are currently recruiting candidates for environmental risk assessor positions with experience in Controlled Waters risk assessment. A working knowledge of human health risk assessment would be preferred but is not essential. The role will be based within our Bristol, London or Leeds Offices.

These roles would typically be applicable to candidates with 4 + years' relevant experience.

The positions will be within our Decommissioning and Restoration team, principally within the technical discipline of land contamination assessment and remediation; and related services.

Core Responsibilities will include the following:
• Hydrogeological conceptualisation and assessment.
• Detailed quantitative risk assessment and modelling.
• Project management of contaminated land risk assessment and water resources projects.
• Liaise with and support key clients.
• Ensure high technical quality across the project team.
• Embrace the HSSE culture of a project, both client-facing and internally.

Knowledge and experience will include the following:
• Significant experience in the assessment of contaminated land.
• Experience in all aspects of human health contaminated land risk assessment, including risk assessments on asbestos, ground gas, soil vapours and soil contaminants (preferred).
• Groundwater quantitative risk assessment and groundwater modelling experience.
• Strong capability in the pragmatic presentation, analysis and interpretation of data.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and contractors.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to write clear, concise reports and think logically and clearly.
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Experience of working with hydrocarbons, chemicals, infrastructure, mining and resources clients.
• Business development and winning work including prospect identification and proposal generation.

Qualifications:
• Postgraduate qualification in hydrogeology, geology, chemistry environmental science or other relevant courses.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.
