Job Title: Senior Project Professional – Asset Management
Location: Barrow-in-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £42,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing scope of works and individual investment cases to priorities projects against the following criteria
- Plan and manage against identified projects for new facilities, facility re-generation and procurement or refurbishment of plant and equipment
- Legal / SHE Compliance – Invest in new Plant/Machinery that has becomes obsolete or falls below legal standards
- Critical Operational Capability – Invest in new resources and critical facilities to prevent or significantly delay the Boat Build Programme
- SHE Initiative or Improvements – Strategic investment in a safety initiative or improvement to an existing site asset or capability to improve SHE standards and limit personnel risks on site
- Process Improvement – Strategic capital investment to facilitate more efficient workflow and overall business growth or reduced activity process times
Your skills and experiences:
- Experience in major plant and equipment
- Experience in fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Understanding or project management tools and techniques (lifecycle management)
- Stakeholder management
- HNC qualification within engineering would be advantageous

Site and Facilities Project Delivery Team:
This role will involve collaborating with a vast number of stakeholders across various departments including, site engineering specialist, engineering authority, supply chain, contractor management teams, finance and SHE. There are opportunities for development within the role and gaining qualifications such as CDM (construction design management).
We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
