Role overview

The Media Development team helps clients to: understand the media marketplace, including what people are using and why; identification and understanding of target audiences; optimisation of content and media platforms; demonstrating the value of media and services; tracking performance against KPIs.

We are a passionate team who focus on all forms of media, with a special interest in tech, gaming, kids/youth, sports and audience representation.

What will I be doing?

  • Your role will be focused on leading the process for recruitment of participants across international markets, to take part in a wide range of qualitative studies.
  • You will liaise with our UK and international colleagues and partners to ensure smooth and successful running of the recruitment process.
  • You will be a key point of contact for the client, collaborating with them and providing project updates, ongoing expert advice and understanding of their business needs.
  • You will be a pivotal support and right-hand person to the Project Director and Associate Director.

  • You will work on a broad variety of tasks across the project recruitment life cycle, from continual improvement of processes for the programme, to receiving and responding to client briefs, to liaising with recruitment partners, project costing, writing recruitment specifications, monitoring recruitment progress, and providing feedback on performance and project success.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring projects run efficiently, effectively and to budget.
  • You will liaise with recruitment partners positively (alone or alongside a project director), ensuring they are well-briefed, organised, motivated, and meet client needs.
  • You will demonstrate strong research knowledge and PM skills, ensuring all projects you are involved in meet business excellence and MRS requirements.
  • You will be invited to join our 'passion networks' to debate and build knowledge of key media related topics and news that we and the wider industry are passionate about.
  • You will also have the opportunity to develop your own skills further, through our extensive training academy.

Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Our ideal candidate will be someone who is genuinely as passionate about media and technology as we are!
  • A strong understanding of how media and technology clients work, including their research needs, ways of working and business questions.
  • Proven experience in project management for market research (qualitative experience is ideal).
  • The capability to build and maintain positive client, team and supplier relationships.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work across multiple projects at one time.
  • A clear appreciation of the nuances of international research.
  • Good understanding of project finances, project roles, efficiency and profitability.
  • Curiosity, great ideas and a focus on identifying new and better ways of doing things.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, team spirit and collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Docs.
  • Good knowledge of existing project management tools.

The Media & Entertainment Platforms Service Line helps media companies leverage insights to grow their audiences and engagement and realize their full brand and commercial value. We use our expertise in advertising, media and technology to measure and amplify how media, brands and consumers connect through content, communication, and media. We offer services in audience understanding, content strategies, platform optimization, ad sales and subscription monetization, and development of brand strategies to influence attraction to a media property or platform.
