Job Title: Senior Solar Project Manager (Late-Stage Development)

Location: Bristol, UK (Hybrid - 2-3 days in the office per week)

Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 per annum (negotiable for the right candidate)

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Solar Project Manager with late-stage development experience to join our client's Development team. In this role, you will focus on managing and developing existing solar projects to the ready-to-build (RtB) stage.

You will oversee the Company's growing portfolio of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, to advance their pipeline of large development projects through critical milestones such as environmental due diligence, permitting, and interconnection activities. Your expertise will ensure projects are meticulously prepared for the start of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop all aspects of current and future solar and solar & storage projects to the ready-to-build (RtB) stage.
  • Oversee the Company's portfolio of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
  • Lead a team of project developers to advance large development projects through major milestones, including environmental due diligence, permitting, and interconnection activities.
  • Ensure successful transition from late-stage development to the construction phase.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet all the requirements for the start of construction.

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of late-stage project development experience, preferably in the solar, renewable energy, or energy storage sector.
  • Previous experience with pre-construction on large utility scale projects.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of UK energy and regulatory markets.
  • Hard-working and able to prioritise a large task load in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a strong academic record in engineering, renewable energy, business administration, or economics preferred.
