Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Wastewater Project Manager to provide expert project management support for both ongoing and future ventures in the UK water services sector.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Oversee and monitor project delivery concerning schedule, cost, variations, contracts, and risks.
- Develop and execute the Project Execution Plan aligned with Contracting Entity's standards.
- Lead project coordination ensuring seamless interfaces throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and manage design delivery in collaboration with technical teams.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations.
- Provide monthly reports on project tasks and design progress.
- Maintain the project risk register and update it regularly.
- Identify opportunities for improving project management procedures and refer ideas to appropriate management.
- Develop cost estimates and manage contracts.
- Liaise with all engineering disciplines including civil, process, M&E, and structural.
- Effectively communicate with clients and senior staff.
- Manage a challenging workload while being a team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Adhere to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations.
- Manage projects in compliance with Ayesa's Integrated Management System (IMS).
Requirements
What You Bring:
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a preference for a master's degree.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in project management within water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.
- Chartered status or actively pursuing Chartered status.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Strong technical acumen in water engineering.
- Extensive experience in contract administration and delivery.
- Ability to establish and implement ongoing procedures for information collection and review.
- Proven track record of delivering construction and asset delivery projects within set timelines and budgets.
- Skilled in engaging with stakeholders across all organizational levels to improve processes and project delivery.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of governing and driving outcomes to ensure project outputs meet required standards.
- Expertise in designing various aspects of civil engineering water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Ability to comprehend complex problems and devise innovative solutions.
- Strong work ethic, capable of independent problem-solving.
- Effective communicator with clients, colleagues, and external agencies, focused on exceeding client expectations.
