RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Project Manager is a vital role for the site. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in project management methodologies and manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery, adherence to quality and safety standards, and alignment with strategic business objectives. Leading and participating in key projects involving new installations and enhancements to existing equipment in order to continue to grow volume and develop capability for the dynamic changes within the cosmetic markets. With accountability for all aspects of the project, it is a wide-reaching role that works cross-functionally in order to successfully achieve the project objectives in time and budget. They act across all areas of the site, managing both new installations and enhancements to existing equipment. The postholder will lead as well as participate in multi-disciplinary teams.

Your main focus:

Project Design:

  • Manage project portfolio, setting target and priorities with alignment of site leadership team. Ensure investment budget is managed inline with agreed plan.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the projects from technical specification, Factory Acceptance Tests, training, budgeting and contractor management through to project handover and will use project management tools and documents such as User Requirements Specification, Gantt Charts, and Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed Matrix.
  • Responsible for the management of the Project Implementation Team
  • Manage project budgets including monitoring/reporting cost expenditure against estimates and report cost position to Engineering Director on a regular basis.
  • Manage project management process and documentation for site engineering projects.
  • Use probing and investigatory approach when defining project scopes, benefits, objectives, cost estimate, schedule and business case.
  • Be responsible for agreeing the non-engineering project responsibilities with the Project Sponsor/ Project Business Lead.
  • Ensure that Safety, Health, Environment, Good Manufacturing Practice and Quality design principles and implementation practices are robustly embedded in the project.
  • When relevant, be responsible for assembling the appropriate team members, through discussion with Project Sponsor/Project Business Lead.
  • Ensure a collaborative working relationship with Procurement Team for contract strategy and ensure the right selection of contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that the execution of the project is in accordance with the contract and any relevant technical specifications.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day preparation, management and deliverable completion of the engineering aspects of the project.
  • Ensure that design, fabrication and installation complies with the relevant Coty Design Guides, local engineering practices and project deliverables through robust concept and detailed design activities & reviews.
  • Be responsible for managing and preparing the validation success criteria, ensuring a detailed programme for the validation execution.
  • Lead the execution of the validation exercises, prepare snagging lists, and meet acceptance requirements for the handover plan.
  • Comply with global and local asset management procedures such as making related amendments to the asset register for new, relocated or scrapped assets.

Communication:

  • Effectively partner all Stakeholders' and Project Team members to understand requirements as well as make informed recommendations.
  • Be responsible for co-ordination, scheduling and reporting of activities related to stakeholder management, benefits management, business change management and project communications as agreed with the Project Business Lead and/or Sponsor.
  • Foster good team working, coach team members, manage conflict, and implement escalation routes for issue resolution.
  • Ensure excellence in the progression of a project reporting back to Senior Project Manager and/or Project Sponsor.
  • Organise and chair project meetings and ensure all other necessary specialist meetings are held as required.
  • Liaise with the Equipment Manufacturer or Construction Representative to track and monitor their activity against the project schedule and financial forecasts.
  • Send out timely comms in clear and concise manner to all relevant parties.

You will be responsible for managing a team of 3 who consist of an Automation Engineer, Project Engineer and Project Manager and you will work closely together with departments such as Operations, Engineering and Quality teams.
