DHL Supply Chain UK and Ireland takes project management very seriously. We have an extensive growth agenda and are seeking Senior Project Managers to join a dynamic team of more than 80 project professionals. This role will be responsible for leading a range of strategic, complex and high profile operational and IT projects that deliver the promises we make to our customers and progress our strategic agenda. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stakeholder management, stability and project delivery across a range of strategic and complex Operations/IT projects and programmes
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports to maintain customer satisfaction
Responsible for managing the budget and reporting progress of the project on an ongoing basis - Identify the project resource, roles and responsibilities, SMEs required to deliver the business benefits
- Lead the project team to accomplish the tasks as outlined, manage change and deliver business benefits
Establish reporting structures inside the project team, ensure team engagement and review the performance of project team members - Work with the Project Delivery Director and Head of Projects in your team to mentor and support more junior project managers in our project management processes
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Previous experience of leading complex projects in logistics related areas is essential
- Previous experience Managing operational and IT-focused projects
- Proven experience in change management, process improvement and stakeholder management
- A recognized and up to date project management qualification eg Prince2 Practitioner/APM (desirable)
- Previous experience in logistics (desirable)
