The Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a critical, client-facing role in managing multiple high-value workplace interior fit-out projects (Cat A and Cat B), ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role involves leading all project activities, from pre-construction and tender phases to on-site execution, while also assisting the team in developing new business opportunities. You will be responsible for managing key business objectives, financial performance, and operational delivery of both new and existing contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of multiple Cat A and Cat B office fit-out projects, from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans to ensure seamless project execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is realized and expectations are exceeded.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, design consultants, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, address any issues, and ensure high standards of quality control.
- Ensure all projects adhere to health and safety regulations, implementing best practices on site.
- Present project updates, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders, keeping them informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster strong client relationships to secure future business opportunities.
- Manage subcontractors and internal teams, ensuring effective coordination across trades and meeting tight deadlines.
- Assist in the development and implementation of innovative service delivery methods aligned with strategic business goals.
Requirements:
- A recognized qualification in project management or a building-related discipline.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) managing interior fit-out and refurbishment projects, particularly in Cat A and Cat B office spaces.
- Proven track record in front-line customer management and handling key accounts, with a strong ability to meet business targets.
- Strong understanding of interior finishes, construction techniques, fit-out solutions, and regulatory standards.
- Ability to manage project budgets from small to large, with strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, results-focused service environment, with a proven ability to deliver under pressure.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility quickly and effectively manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in project management systems and methodologies, with the ability to implement them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance within the construction industry.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, PMP, or Prince2) are an advantage.
