Description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple complex projects within the Operations function. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive projects to successful outcomes.

The role will report into the Director, PMO and Strategy Delivery and will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.

The Senior Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders and cross functional teams to drive project success and contribute to the strategic objectives of the Online Division.

This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key outcomes of the role

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of high-impact and complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation and budgets
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure all projects are strategically aligned with the organization's long-term goals and objectives.
  • Continuously assess project alignment with business goals, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, marketers, and customer support, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and any changes to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs and requirements are met.
  • Facilitate meetings with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to review progress, address issues, and ensure alignment.
  • Conduct project reviews and post-mortems, capturing lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, up-to-date and stored appropriately
  • Oversee and manage project teams, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies.

About you

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree, PMP/PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in project management, product management or scrum master experience, with significant experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
