JOB TITLE: SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER - FABRIC MAINTENANCE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and monitor the contract budgets and costs
  • Communicate progress and any operational difficulties and commercial implications to the Industrial Services Manager.
  • Manage and monitor the selection and requisition of all plant, equipment and materials relating to assigned workscopes
  • Communicate the progress, variations and costs of the contract to the Industrial Services Manager and suggest improvements and efficiencies
  • Plan operations in conjunction with Industrial Services and EG Project Team
  • Communicate progress of operations through liaison with client on a regular basis
  • Ensure that all client expectations are met
  • Follow up customer enquiries and demands promptly
  • Identify and react to shortfalls in customer service
  • Cultivate and develop good customer relations
  • Plan, submit and monitor the requisition and expedition of all personnel requirements (including subcontractor services)
  • Liaise with the HR Team and platform team regarding resource requirements and the mobilization of personnel
  • Ensure co-ordination of shipments to and from worksite through logistics departments
  • Development of fabric maintenance and scaffolding work instructions and work pack
  • Strong working knowledge of core disciplines, i.e. scaffolding, painting, insulation, and passive fire protection
  • Appreciation of specialist disciplines, i.e. NORM, Cleaning, Architectural, abseiling, etc.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of the contract-specific workscopes and activities
  • Communicate team goals and promote high standards of workmanship and customer service
  • Manage all activities, including those of sub-contractors
  • Monitor all activities to ensure compliance with relevant HSEQ Procedures, cost control, and schedule control
  • Provide technical support to offshore and onshore teams across all disciplines
  • Attend project kick-off meetings
  • Raise pre-qualifications for any new materials to be added to the COSHH database related to FM activities
  • Liaise with the Industrial Services Manager and relevant EG engineers to gain knowledge of future projects
  • Produce all work instruction, COSHH assessments, work orders and job cards for offshore activities
  • Ensure that CTRs, project estimate, work scopes, work instructions and work packs are completed in a timely manner in accordance with planning schedule
  • Log all daily update reports
  • Ensure that the mobilisation of personnel, plants, equipment and materials are input into client's planning system
  • Provide progress information on FM work instruction to planners to allow update of plans and productivity
  • Initiate and maintain contract files for all customer and project information
  • Manage growth and variations in scopes as necessary
  • Set up and maintain key communications with offshore teams
  • Understand the company safety policy requirements, ensuring at all times the works are undertaken and maintained to the highest safety standards
  • Ensure that all operations are reviewed and planned to ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Good knowledge of all related Fabric Maintenance, painting, insulation scaffolding, NORM/Cleaning, and UHP Jetting
  • Previous experience required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Chair client and in-house meetings
  • Assist with compiling graphical reports (dashboards)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
