Position

Role Overview

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in leading structural design packages across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing project teams, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring that technical solutions are delivered to the highest standard.

You'll collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the strategic growth of our structural engineering capability in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design and delivery of projects from concept to construction.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively.
  • Contribute to project bids, proposals, and business development activities.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards across all stages of project execution.

Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Chartered status with ICE or IStructE preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design and project delivery in the UK and/or Ireland.
  • Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, ETABS).
  • Strong working knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and local regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary or consultancy environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Desirable

  • Experience in the design of complex or large-scale building structures.
  • Working knowledge of BIM processes and tools (e.g. Revit).
