About the role

We are looking for a Senior Programme Officer to join the Undergraduate Team in the School of Law. The post-holder will work alongside one other Senior Programme Officer and two Programme Officers.

The Senior Programme Officer provides essential support to students and academics. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role includes taking responsibility to resolve complex queries and issues, supporting activities such as assessment and results processing, using databases and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate student data on progress and achievement, and delivering a high-quality service across the student lifecycle. Working with colleagues to plan and coordinate a varied set of activities, you will have opportunities to further develop your knowledge of regulations and processes and be part of professional networks promoting best practice. As part of the King's community, you'll work alongside inspiring academic staff, administrators, and students.

King's College operates a hybrid working policy and more details of this will be made available at interview.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1. Experience of working in programme administration and customer service, with the ability to address complaints and service issues efficiently and professionally

2. Excellent organisational and time management skills, adept at meeting tight deadlines and managing competing priorities

3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy at all times

4. Ability to work independently and take initiative, contributing to process improvements and team efficiency

5. Ability to build good working relationships and collaborate as part of a team, relating to a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner

6. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to independently draft documents and correspondence tailored to a broad range of audiences

7. Strong numeracy skills, with the ability to handle and analyse complex data

8. Excellent IT skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience of using databases and student records systems (such as SITS)

Desirable criteria

1. Degree level or equivalent qualification

2. Experience of working in Higher Education

3. Experience of using virtual learning environments and website content management systems
