This role will be responsible for supporting Fresh's position as a beloved member of the communities we operate in and ensuring that our customers and teams have visibility to Fresh's sustainability and social impact accomplishments and commitments.
As the Fresh Int'l Senior Program Manager, you will drive high-visibility programs for the omni-channel Fresh businesses as well as the underlying processes that keep our sustainability and social impact program running. The role works closely with functional sustainability experts to create cohesive brand-level strategy, internal mechanisms and support internal and external communications. When necessary, the role jumps in to support implementation and external engagement.
Success in this role requires a well-rounded program manager and sustainability generalist that can work across business functions. You can take new ideas from concept to initial delivery. You will deliver results by bringing together multiple teams under one vision and identifying new ways of working. You will also bring customer obsession alive through effective mechanisms with customer insights, marketing, and PR functions. Lastly, you will be the glue that ties our program pillars together through establishing and running effective programmatic mechanisms. This role will regularly interface with senior executives in WW Fresh, so being a role model for doc writing and communications is a must.
Key job responsibilities
* Maintains mechanisms and rhythms of business to keep Fresh Int'l on-track for both Amazon-wide and brand-wide goals.
* Drives global mechanisms & frameworks for the WW Fresh sustainability programs.
* Drives broad alignment on new mental models and programmatic structures for ambiguous or cross-functional challenges (new regulations, cross-functional special projects, supplier engagement).
* Enables marketing and PR teams to communicate about sustainability or social impact topics to improve perception of Fresh grocery.
*Oversees consultants as necessary to support the program.
A day in the life
A typical day will be a combination of driving strategic projects, setting up new mechanisms to support business owners, or running established mechanisms - both within our team and across Amazon teams. You will spend a good amount of time writing for varied audiences; both WW Fresh executives and wide-reaching internal stakeholders.
About the team
Our team embeds and accelerates environmental and social programs within Amazon Fresh and Go businesses. We partner with and support business owners to deliver on our most important north stars. Working side-by-side with Amazon business owners, we guide decisions and processes to ensure that success and scale bring broad responsibility.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working in a matrixed organization
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
