NOTE: This role is for a fixed term contract (FTC) until the end of 2026.

The OTS Deployment Global Governance team (PMO) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to support strategic initiatives across the organization. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work with process owners, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to develop and implement programs that improve organizational effectiveness and team culture.

You will own scoping and creating project plans, developing frameworks and programs, coordinating across organizations, driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and outcomes. You will create effective communication plans to provide visibility to all impacted teams and enable organizational alignment. You will be responsible for analyzing metrics to identify gaps and implementing solutions to drive improvements. This role requires strong aptitude for learning and leveraging AI tools to enhance program delivery and organizational effectiveness.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness and team culture
- Develop and implement frameworks, programs, and solutions that address organizational needs
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities and drive improvements
- Apply process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Agile, Lean) to optimize program delivery
- Leverage AI tools and automation to enhance efficiency and insights
- Analyze metrics and data to measure program effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities
- Create effective communication plans and drive adoption through change management
- Write strategic program documentation and communicate effectively to senior leadership
- Monitor multiple initiatives from initiation through delivery simultaneously
- Adapt to evolving organizational priorities and support initiatives across various workstreams as needed

A day in the life
Facilitating collaborative working sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and design program frameworks. Developing project plans, timelines, and success metrics for new initiatives. Writing strategic documentation and presentations for leadership reviews. Partnering with subject matter experts to understand organizational needs and refine approaches. Conducting stakeholder interviews to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Creating communication materials to drive awareness and adoption of programs. Meeting with regional leaders to coordinate implementation and gather feedback. Reviewing program performance data to assess effectiveness and identify adjustments. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and remove blockers.

About the team
The Global IT Deployment organization manages the IT Infrastructure scope of a complex suite of projects and is responsible for the delivery of initiatives across business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfilment IT. Our projects deliver solutions that power the physical fulfilment of our customers' orders. This includes management of site launches across the globe and directly supports shipping packages to millions of Amazon.com customers across the world.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will be part of the central Program Management Office (PMO), supporting the overall strategy and leading initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness across our global deployment organization.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience in program or project management including the delivery of cross-functional projects
- Experience developing and implementing of standards, policies and programs or equivalent
- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
- Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning and leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Six-Sigma or equivalent certification
- Experience in organizational leadership and development or talent management, with experience in a senior leadership role
- PMP, or PMP certificate
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management or Development, business, or similar related discipline
