Senior Production Planner

We are looking for a Senior Production Planner to join our busy and growing organisation. The Senior Production Planner will plan efficient production schedules on a daily/weekly basis for all products which will meet both customer requirements and stock target levels. You will look at planning problems and workable solutions to streamline production/planning efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track orders and work closely with the provisioning team to ensure customer deliveries are right first time.
  • Be able to identify when an order needs to be escalated internally based on risk of failing first time delivery.
  • Provide Cover and provide support to the Production Planning Team.
  • Support in the planning function to ensure crucial orders are prioritized.
  • Create pick lists / check lists of purchased / consumable items to complete orders.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure the quality check points are effective.
  • Review and influence the production plan to comply with urgent orders.
  • Manage and respond to emails in the group inbox relating to customer complaints or replacement materials (FOCs)
  • Organising internal and external resources for replacement product related to customer complaints.
  • Highlight queries and issues with the management team received from Customer service or fulfillment.
  • Develop and review delivery statistics reporting on orders and present to management.
  • Hold weekly calls with the customer service and fulfilment team and run reports of open orders identifying late orders and any risk to customers.
  • Resolve customer satisfaction and performance issues.
  • Ensure On time delivery in Dispatch and backlog management goals are met

Required experience/skills/qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years within a manufacturing or process driven environment.
  • You will be a result driven initiative-taker.
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Knowledge of process related standards
  • Forecasting
  • Capacity Analyse
  • Applicants will be required to demonstrate competence and skills to execute specific key accountabilities as outlined above, with particular emphasis on the development and definition of Standard Running Conditions, SOP's, Continuous Improvement projects, troubleshooting and training of shopfloor teams.
