Monwel is a supported business that provides employment for people who may have disabilities. At Monwel we manufacture various products and provide a variety printing services to businesses across the city.
We are looking to recruit a Senior Production Operative to support management in the operation of the business. The candidate would be experienced in using basic assembly tools and equipment and have a good knowledge and experience of DIY.
Job Purpose
- To recognise and use best practice to solve problems. Take initiative to suggest improvements, sharing this constructively.
- Will have exceptional relationship building skills, actively promote and communicate Monwel services / products across the Authority, together with their partners, the public, third sectors organisations and other Local Authorities.
- Will liaise and collaborate with other service areas within the Authority to develop business opportunities, ensuring effective relationships are developed and maintained.
- Must be prepared to work flexibly to ensure that Monwel functions with the appropriate support.
- To assists the General Manager to manage the health & safety policies and procedures within Monwel. To review, record and share risk assessments and method statements, ensuring there are safe working practice within Monwel.
- To assist with recruitment and training of new employees, ensuring employees work productively and develop professionally.
- To be a key holder and contact for the building, including out of hours contact.
- To support the General Manager so they deliver an effective and sustainable delivery of performance management solutions at Monwel, to enable compliance with hoisting contracts.
