An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Royal Mail as a Senior Product Target Operating Model Manager.
In this role you'll be at the forefront of Product development, crafting and sharing innovative commercial ideas for new and improved products and services. Your key responsibility will be to maintain alignment with the existing, transitional, and ultimate product operating models.
About the role
In this role, you'll:
- Visualise and create high-level models and diagrams to document the current, interim and end state product operating models covering products and services, employee organisation structures and business operating process models
- Produce volumetric models to evaluate the business situation and understand the potential take-up of any new or enhanced product, service or feature, in support of commercial and product design decision making
- Elaborate each business change initiative through the development of commercial concept documents
- Identifies, defines and agrees the intended and consequential business outcomes for each business change initiative, including any related initiative
- Define the associated measurements of the business outcomes using key performance indicators
- Identify, quantify and agree the business benefits for each business change initiative, utilising sales and market analysis information, supplemented by additional research where necessary, to assess the opportunity
- Define and agree the high-level scope, key performance indicators (KPI) and critical success factors (CSF) for each business change initiativ
- Provide oversight assurance, representing the sponsor for the business change initiative, to ensure the design and delivery of the business change initiative achieves the defined outcomes and benefits
About you
In order to excel in this position, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the experience to influence and obtain the support from senior management audiences
- Exceptional visualisation, written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial and legal acumen with good understanding of business strategy and goals
- Expert knowledge in the tools, techniques and models required to develop Target Operating Models
- Excellent knowledge in working across multiple functions, particularly product development, logistics, fulfilment, sales and order management and customer service management
- Excellent stakeholder management and proven ability to build strong positive and collaborative working relationships
Experience
- Experience of developing and designing Target Operating Models for commercially focused organisations
- Experience of elaborating complex customer-centric products, services and features
- Experience of working across the various stages of the product lifecycle to deliver strategies in industries similar to Royal Mail in terms of its magnitude and complexity
