What you'll do
The Future Platforms function within VF Investments is executing Vodafone's borderless connectivity strategy. It will sign partnerships with digital natives and neobrands seeking to enter the domestic/Travel SIM connectivity market; it is developing and will execute the launch of the Vodafone brand into new off footprint markets; and deliver the Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) product that underpins these exciting new business models.
The Senior Product Manager is accountable for a defined product domain within the MVNx platform, owning end-to-end customer/tenant experience (UX), continuous market and competitive insight, and an outcome-led roadmap of capabilities and features that feeds the integrated MVNx platform roadmap. The role translates strategy into validated delivery, drives cross-functional alignment, and ensures value, quality, security and operational performance for the domain.
- Own the domain product vision and roadmap aligned to the MVNx platform strategy; define measurable outcomes/OKRs and success metrics.
- Be accountable for end-to-end UX for priority journeys within the domain, ensuring discovery-led delivery (research, prototyping, testing, accessibility, adoption metrics).
- Run a continuous insight engine (tenant/customer, internal stakeholders, analytics) and maintain competitive intelligence/benchmarking to inform prioritisation and differentiation.
- Ensure EPICs, capabilities and features are defined and prioritised for the domain, including MVP scope, acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements (security, resilience, compliance, performance).
- Provide PI/quarterly planning inputs: clarify objectives, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure alignment across D&IT, Networks, Security, Finance, Legal/Regulatory and vendors.
- Drive economic prioritisation: create/maintain lean business cases for major initiatives, quantify value, and make cost/value trade-offs that contribute to platform unit economics and cost-to-serve improvements.
- Partner with Product Owners/Technical Product Owners and engineering teams to ensure the backlog reflects intended value and user outcomes; support iterative delivery and release readiness.
- Lead stakeholder management for the domain: facilitate decision-making forums, resolve conflicts, and escalate cross-domain trade-offs appropriately to the Head/Director of Product.
- Support go-to-market and tenant success: enable Sales/Commercial with proposition narratives, demos and onboarding approaches; ensure operational readiness, documentation and training.
- Establish and run domain performance reporting (adoption, quality/SLOs, incident themes, cost-to-serve, customer sentiment) and drive continuous improvement
- Accountable for domain roadmap, prioritisation and outcomes; contributes to the integrated MVNx platform roadmap
- Accountable for end-to-end UX for domain journeys and measurable adoption/satisfaction outcomes.
- Accountable for competitive insights for the domain and translating them into differentiated capability proposals.
- Accountable for value/cost trade-offs and benefits realisation for the domain
- Decision ownership for domain MVP scope, feature acceptance criteria, release readiness, and deprecation decisions (within agreed governance thresholds).
- Continuous improvement on key metrics quality/CSAT, SLAs/SLOs, security and compliance for delivered domain capabilities.
Who you are
- Strategic product leadership; leads through ambiguity and makes principled trade-offs.
- Customer-centric discovery & UX leadership (research, journey mapping, experimentation).
- Scaled agile product management (SAFe): epics/capabilities/features; PI inputs; outcome-led delivery.
- Commercial & financial acumen (unit economics, cost-to-serve, ROI, benefits tracking).
- Stakeholder management & influencing across senior technical and business audiences.
- Platform mindset & systems thinking (multi-tenancy, re-use, operability, resilience).
- Experience owning complex platform roadmaps and delivering outcomes through matrixed teams and third-party vendors.
- Demonstrated accountability for UX leadership of a multitenant platform, across end-to-end journeys and adoption measurement.
- Proven ability to apply market and competitive insights to shape strategic differentiation.
- Experience creating ExCo level business cases and managing cost/value trade-offs with Finance/PMO.
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, compliance and regulatory requirements in telecoms platform contexts.
