About The Role

allpay is the leading provider of payment solutions to housing associations, local authorities, and central government in the UK. We work with 90% of the top 250 Housing Association's, 70% of all Housing Association's, 50% of all UK Local Authorities and provide solutions for the NHS, The Scottish Government and the Ministry of Justice.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our mobile app offerings. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mobile technology, a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences, and ideally a strong background in the financial sector.

Your new role

Product is at the heart of our ambition. As a Senior Product Manager, you will have a keen eye for detail and understand that even the smallest product choices can have a huge impact on customer behaviour and adoption.

You'll take the lead on our Mobile Apps roadmap, crafting and overseeing the entire product journey. This means keeping an eye on the big picture, from app development to user growth and revenue.

You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to set ambitious goals for our Mobile Apps product area and have the freedom to decide how to meet them.

Operating with a large degree of autonomy, you will shape the product, proposition, and commercial management of our Mobile Apps products ensuring that we meet the changing needs of our customers. You will make a massive impact on our customers' lives and allpay's success.

Here are some of your main key responsibilities:

  • Dive deep into customer needs and market trends, using real-time data to drive smart business decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across the company-design, engineering, research, data science, and compliance-to refine plans and achieve strategic goals.
  • Strike a balance between long-term growth and meeting short-term revenue targets.
  • Share your insights to help shape the overall product strategy and direction.

About You

Your Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies:

Essential:

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing mobile apps, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Strong understanding of mobile technology, user experience design principles, and Agile development methodologies
  • Skilled in partnership management and fostering relationships with external parties.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing abilities demonstrated through clear and persuasive delivery of ideas and proposals to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail, accustomed to working in a commercial environment within tight timelines while managing risks and adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Passionate about designing and building exceptional products to maximise customer value, not just business outcomes.
  • Data-driven approach with a focus on metrics and continuous improvement.
  • Creative, opportunistic, and collaborative mindset, adept at maintaining productive working relationships within a fast-paced, iterative team environment.
  • Quick learner with integrity and curiosity, committed to personal and professional development, and adept at positively challenging and influencing colleagues.

Attractive bonus skills/knowledge:

  • As our ideal Product Manager, you will be educated to a degree level in a relevant field, including Business, Computer Science, or Engineering. Or, you will have a recognised qualifications in Product Management.
  • Ideally, you will possess knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards relevant to financial products.
