About the Team:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and ambitious professional to fill the role of Senior Product Manager for our 'Aurora' software. Aurora is our inhouse pensions administration platform - servicing our in-house administrators, clients and members. It is multi-faceted software suite, including both internal and external technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience of defining long term product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, and delivering quality solutions to internal and external customers.
The role holder will report into the Technology Solutions Director, and work closely with other key stakeholders to set and implement the product direction for Aurora.
You will have a strategic mindset, excellent co-ordination and planning skills and be adept at influencing internal senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of pensions administration and pensions products would be a significant advantage given the nature of the business and its customer base and market positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy, vision, roadmap:
- Alongside senior key stakeholders, define the Aurora technology vision and long-term strategy.
- Create and maintain a clear prioritised product roadmap for Aurora and associated products.
- Use market research, competitor analysis and other insights/analytics to inform and re-evaluate the Aurora strategy and roadmap.
- Review success - defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing a strategy for monitoring performance and allowing data-driven insights to inform the future of Aurora.
- Champion:
- Continuous technology improvement and automation
- A Digital First strategy for both internal and external administration processes
- Exceptional user experience and accessibility
- Drive business / stakeholder awareness and understanding of the Aurora strategy, vision and roadmap.
- Delivery: Alongside Product Owners / delivery teams, execute the Aurora strategy and product roadmaps, working together to:
- Manage roadmap priorities
- Understand, define and implement new requirements
- Detail user stories
- Define success for new requirements
- Agree test plans for new releases
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks
- Agree 'release plans'
- Together with Project Managers and Technology Solutions Director, manage stakeholder / client expectations regarding requirements and delivery timelines.
- Together with Product Owners, manage product backlog and stakeholder expectations for delivery.
- Communicate new releases to key stakeholders / clients, and the wider administration business.
- Demo new releases to key stakeholders (both external and internal)

Your Profile:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably working with multiple products and for different user groups
- Strong understanding of the latest technologies and development methodologies
- Articulate and comfortable conversing with developers, business SME's, senior stakeholders and clients
- Ability to co-ordinate and manage product rollout for multiple clients simultaneously
- Ability to gather customer insights and translate them into successful product improvements
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions and continuously improve product performance
- Proactive problem solver with a creative mindset, capable of navigating challenges and finding innovative solutions
Desirable:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
- An understanding of UK pensions arrangements and pensions products
