Senior Product Designer

As our next Senior Product Designer, you'll play a key role in taking ownership of complex product areas and delivering high-quality work from discovery through to implementation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can simplify complex flows, design intuitive end-to-end journeys, and collaborate closely with PMs and engineers to ship meaningful outcomes. You'll balance strong craft with strong product thinking; running discovery, framing problems, prototype solutions, testing with users, and pushing the quality of interaction and visual design in the team. You will be trusted to work autonomously, influence direction, and help raise the bar for the wider product design team.

Forget long lists, here's what you'll actually spend your time on:

• Delivering high-quality design from discovery through to implementation that helps homeowners get jobs done, and trades grow their business.
• Improving how we work by contributing to our design system and raising the bar for design across the team.
• Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers and Content Designers to turn ideas into real features.
• Making sure every interaction feels intuitive and leaves people confident using Checkatrade.

It's not about ticking every box. It's about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You'll do well here if you bring:

• Experience in end-to-end product design, with a strong portfolio of real product outcomes.
• A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong communication skills and a curiosity to frame problems and solve them with data and user insight.
• Confidence with prototyping tools, user testing workflows, and design systems, or the drive to pick it up quickly.
