We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the design and delivery of creative, highly crafted solutions for digital products within the Kingfisher group, working across well-known household brands. In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Product Designers, Service Designers, Design Researchers, Product Owners, and Developers, to deliver industry-leading features that improve complex user journeys.

You will work closely with Design Leads and your product team to create, test, and refine ideas through a fast-paced, Lean delivery process, ensuring solutions meet customer needs and align with business goals.

Your ability to think holistically about the customer experience, while balancing the technical and strategic aspects of the business, will be crucial to driving innovation and delivering exceptional user experiences.

All Kingfisher Designers:

  • Can work collaboratively with inter-disciplinary teams to develop crafted customer experiences
  • Apply conceptual thinking, combining user needs, business goals and technical realities
  • Define the user experience through sketches, information architecture, wireframes and user flows
  • Prototype concepts to help communicate approach and for validation through testing
  • Communicate design rationale and approach, and how it relates to research findings, brand requirements and user needs
  • Create lightweight specifications and style guides to supplement designs/prototypes for delivery teams

What you'll bring

  • Extensive experience designing user interfaces for real-world products.
  • Ensure your designs align with the overall service proposition, making features scalable and best in class.
  • Collaborate with other workstreams to maintain consistent customer experiences.
  • Confidently lead the entire design process from concept to delivery.
  • Simplify complex systems with intuitive design solutions.
  • Extensive experience with design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, Abstract, proto.io).
  • Proficient in design fundamentals (layout, visual hierarchy, colour, typography, iconography).
  • Skilled in various methods to convey ideas (sketches, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, etc.).
  • Work with Design Researchers and Service Designers to validate hypotheses through testing and apply findings effectively.
  • Understand modern web and mobile technologies and their impact on design feasibility.
  • Lead creative and stakeholder workshops, ensuring valuable outcomes.
  • Consider opposing viewpoints and adjust solutions accordingly.
  • Be accountable for the design, consistency, and accessibility of the products you and your team work on.
  • Experience in eCommerce design.
  • Support Lead/Product Owner with input on project scope, scale, and timelines.
