Job Introduction

As Windows Senior Producer, you will support the Production Manager as key stakeholder in the Window installations to ensure all scheme launches are successfully delivered on time and produced to the best possible standards. Continual research into production methods and technology will ensure Selfridges production remains one step ahead of competitors and continues to build on the respected reputation Selfridges' creative holds.

As Windows Senior Producer, you will be responsible for:

Interpretation and planning of window installations

• Working closely with the Production Manager and the Window Design team on the practical realisation of the window installations
• Work with suppliers to resolve more difficult/detailed elements of window builds
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure progression of builds is on brief and of the highest possible standards.
• Coordinate with Security, Facilities and Lighting teams to ensure installations run smoothly
• Communicate with contractors to arrange access and appropriate H&S paperwork
• Understands the ORACLE system and is confident in raising purchase orders
• Supports Production Manager in the delegation and maintenance of scheme and overheads budgets, ensuring trackers are ordered and schemes are delivered on budget

Research and sourcing

• Support the Production Manager with research to aid development of production methods and materials for each scheme
• Research and meet new suppliers
• Attend shows and visit suppliers to support and progress supplier relationships
• Awareness of cultural trends through active research and attendance of major exhibitions
• Awareness of major competitors through regular comparative shopping and detailed research

Install and execution:

• Work closely within Windows Production and with the Styling team to deliver schemes smoothly with a collaborative approach
• Create an installation schedule and share with Styling and Design teams
• Work out of hours to ensure the smooth delivery of installation of the windows
• Work to a strict installation timeline and support the Production Manager to ensure both the in-house team and contractors adhere to this

Back of house and maintenance:

• Regularly walk windows to check standards are being upheld by the production assistant, feeding back snags to be resolved
• Adhere to H & S standards, policies and procedures, ensuring builds are installed maintained in a safe, hazard-free manner
• Respect tools, equipment and environment
• Lead by example to assure the production assistant uses best practice when maintaining back of house.

People and communication:

• Briefs for suppliers
• Technical drawings for builds
• Communicate costs and build updates to Production Manager
• Shares information with line manager and colleagues, providing regular updates on workload, deadlines and schedules
• Communicates with stakeholders on builds
• Maintains effective relationships with key suppliers
• Supports the Production Manager in communicating materials boards to VM teams and Regionals

• Practical, must be able to install schemes and maintain back of house storage, with a hands on attitude in the studio environment
