About the Role:
The Senior Process Analyst will play a key role in designing, building and implementing Liberty Mutual Re-insurance (LMRe) strategic initiatives across regions, capabilities and lines of business. Reporting to the Head of Operations Excellence and operating within the broader LMRe Change and Transformation Team.
This role will lead end-to-end process analysis and design future-state processes aligned to our regional 2030 strategy; using Lean/Six Sigma and data-driven root-cause analysis, you will identify and quantify improvement opportunities, build business cases, define requirements, and deliver automation/AI/BPO solutions while setting KPIs, SLAs and transition plans with BPO/outsourced partners.
You will engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, coach junior analysts, manage delivery to agreed standards and report programme progress and benefits to senior leadership, all while adhering to relevant regulatory and conduct requirements.
About the Department & Team:
Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re) is one of four core pillars (North America, LII, LM Re and Global Surety) that make up the Global Risk Solutions (GRS), business unit. LM Re is situated in all core global market hubs and offers treaty property, casualty and specialty products across key North America, South America, European, UK, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and other international locations.
We provide brokers and cedants with a broad product range through both the Company and Lloyd's markets and have approximately 200 employees in 13 offices around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead detailed process analysis to capture current-state ways of working and create "to-be" future-state processes aligned to regional 2030 strategic plans (including initiatives such as Right Work Right Desk and Foundation Execution).
• Conduct high-quality analysis across multiple concurrent initiatives, delivering clear options, impact assessments and recommendations.
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative process data to identify root causes, bottlenecks, waste, and variance.
• Design and recommend process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Identify relationships, dependencies and impacts of change across people, process and systems and present those options to stakeholders.
• Produce project documentation such as business cases, requirements specifications, benefits assessments and process maps.
• Leverage process mapping, automation and AI tools to generate documentation, drive analysis, and accelerate delivery.
• Support stakeholder engagement, obtaining buy-in and sign-off, and in managing expectations at all business levels.
• Work with BPO/outsourced service providers: define service requirements and KPIs, support transition planning, document handoffs and RACI, help negotiate SLA requirements, and contribute to vendor governance and performance reviews.
• Accurately estimate effort and deliverable commitments and manage to agreed standards and deadlines.
• Coach and mentor junior analysts and subject matter experts on process improvement techniques, BPO, Automation & AI.
• Track and report program progress, benefits realization, and risks to senior leadership

Skills and Experience
• Senior-level business/process analysis experience with strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams; comfortable managing multiple competing priorities to deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management with strong communication skills with the ability to present to both business and technical audiences and to facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions.
• Experience of Insurance and/or Reinsurance business processes and technology solutions is preferred.
• Experience working within a London Market insurer and understanding Delegated Authority business is desirable.
• Direct experience with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) or outsourced service models in insurance or financial services - including transition support, SLA/KPI definition, vendor management and governance.
• Strong knowledge of business functions, operations, objectives and strategy across large organisations.
• Proficiency with MS Suite and experience with process mapping (Visio, Lucid), automation (UiPath, Power automate) and AI-assisted tools (Process Mining, LLMs).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear recommendations.
• Experience defining and documenting epics, user stories and acceptance criteria for complex solutions
Desirable qualifications
• Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or BPMN credentials.
• Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating with BPOs/vendors during large-scale transformation programmes.
