We are looking for a Senior Pricing Actuary - Financial Lines (m/f/d), based in London or Munich. Your Team The Pricing team at Allianz Commercial plays a crucial role in driving the company's profitability by analyzing portfolio performance and developing calibrated pricing tools. This dynamic, international team is based in key global locations including London, Munich, Bucharest, Chicago, and New York, fostering a collaborative environment. The Impact You Will Have In this role, you will have a direct impact on shaping the profitability and strategic direction of Allianz Commercial's Financial Lines portfolio. By leveraging data-driven insights, you will optimize pricing strategies, enhance portfolio performance, and identify key trends to inform decision-making. Your work will contribute to refining pricing models, ensuring the company remains competitive in the market. Additionally, you will collaborate with senior leadership to influence the overall pricing approach, driving sustainable growth and long-term success for the Financial Lines and Cyber portfolios.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• You will provide front-line case pricing to support profitable underwriting, offering technical expertise and insights on individual accounts that influence global portfolio steering.
• You will design and propose program structures that balance Allianz Commercial's exposure to losses with clients' needs; attend client and broker meetings as necessary.
• You will research new rating variables by tracking market trends, underwriting developments, and collaborating with the Predictive Modeling team to enhance competitiveness.
• You will conduct in-depth profitability reviews, including data preparation and analysis of business segment performance.
• You will ensure analysis results lead to impactful portfolio actions and are integrated into technical pricing models.
• You will monitor the effectiveness of portfolio actions implemented following profitability reviews.
• You will refine and maintain pricing tools through recalibrations and statistical pricing methodologies.
• You will build strong relationships with Underwriting teams to ensure long-term support for technical pricing concepts and tools.
• You will support and promote projects related to technical pricing.
• You will collaborate with the Portfolio Management team and other Allianz Commercial departments.
• You will understand global market developments and ensure loss trends are reflected in pricing activities.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• You have a strong foundation as a qualified P&C actuary, supported by substantial post-qualification experience and a solid background in case pricing for individual accounts.
• You have exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, combined with keen attention to detail and experience in developing and calibrating data-driven pricing tools.
• You can navigate complex, multi-national data landscapes, facilitating comprehensive analysis and informed decision-making.
• You have strong programming skills in SQL, VBA, R, Python, and other relevant languages, empowering you to utilize technology effectively.
• You have a self-motivated and proactive approach, characterized by curiosity that drives you to ask insightful questions and implement actionable solutions.
• You have a collaborative mindset, enabling you to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, management, and various business areas.
• You have experience in communicating technical information to non-technical audiences, ensuring complex concepts are accessible and understandable.
• You have valuable experience in commercial lines pricing, particularly in large corporate and specialty lines, with the ability to thrive in an international and virtual work environment.
