Senior Practitioner Social Worker - Appointee & Deputyship Team

If you do, we have an exciting opportunity in the Appointee & Deputyship Team (ADT) of Adult Social Care (ASC), for a permanent, full time Senior Practitioner Social Worker.
As a Senior Practitioner for ADT, you will:
- Complete COP3 assessment to support our applications to the Court of Protection (CoP).
- Complete MCAs to support decisions relating to financial and property affairs.
- Complete MCAs to support any other complex best interest decision(s).
- Upskill and provide support to ADT members by developing guidance and practice material.
- Support with annual reviews and reports, in line with our responsibilities under the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) Standards OPG Deputy Standards: Guidance for Public Authority Deputies - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
- Prepare material using research, best practice approaches, social work models and theories that you will use to facilitate reflective practice workshops to operational staff
- Provide ad-hoc group professional supervision to registered social workers
- Support with Adult Audits and direct observations to support the delivery of our Quality and Practice Framework
- If you hold a Practice Educator level 2 or equivalent, you could be asked to be the Assessor of a Newly Qualified Social Worker who is part of the Assessed and Supported Year of Employment
We are looking for candidates to
- Have a thorough understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and its Code of Practice.
- Be resilient and confident in your role.
- Be a team player.
It would be an advantage if you had successfully completed your Best Interest Assessor qualification.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
